Vivian Campbell

It's one thing to whip out a killer diminished scale guitar solo during a song about medieval knights, but when your lead singer is actually dressed like one...come on.  But amid all the dungeons and dragons imagery, the Irish born Campbell provided true grit on Ronnie James Dio's solo debut, spewing laserlike lines on songs like "Holy Diver" and "Rainbow in the Dark."  His trademark "shaking the chords" technique is still unparalleled.

Shining Moment:  Dio's "Rainbow in the Dark"

Last Heard:  Campbell replaced the late Steve Clark in Def Leppard in 1992.  At this point he has tenure.
